My
goals to create his website:
My name is M. Ali Amoukarami I was born in Tehran (the Capital
of IRAN.) My interest in art goes back to my childhood. I have
my M.D. and I have been working as a medical doctor since I
graduated. I love all kind of arts and I believe the most
valuable thing in life is found in art. They said: "Art was
created on top of pearl." I know treatment as a kind of art.
In 1984, I started drawing course at Kamal-lol-molk art school,
while I was in grade 11 at Alborz high school. The art school
was directed by deceased artist Hossein Sheikh, one of the
students of famous artist "Mohammad Ghaffari" who has been
called Kamal-lol-molk, and I learned drawing with artist Saeed
Broumand. In 1986, I got the admission for medical school and of
course I continued artistic works beside my studies.
In 1986, I got to know calligraphy under the care of Mr.
Mohammad-Zaman Farasat in the township of Babol, North city of
IRAN. In 1987, I attended in art exhibition for medical student –
painting section – and got to know two of the most well-known
calligraphers of Babol, Mr. Mehdi Pourvatan and Mr. Kamran
Kouhestani, and later they became of my best friends. Since
calligraphy is involved with literature, poem and painting, it
makes me feel a deep tendency to the poems of famous poets of my
territory, IRAN. So I read most of the complete works of these
poets in my leisure time. The effects of these poems and my own
interest came together and makes me compose poems. I read my
first poem in the "Night of poem" for students in Babol city in
front of Mr. Mehrdad Avesta and Mr. Hamid Mosadegh (Two famous
poets.)
Then later the deep connection between poem and music, guided me
to another kind of art in IRAN which was music. I started
listening to the heavenly voices of honourable Artists like,
Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, Gholam-hossein Banan, Adib Khansari,
Mahmoudi Khansari, Abdolvahab Shahidi, Akbar Golpaygani, Shahram
Nazeri and other Masters of noble and traditional music of IRAN
and it makes me fall in love with music and I felt I need to
play myself. So I learned playing Setar (a kind of traditional
music instrument) with my dear friend Mr. Mehrdad Zarini who is
a skilled artist in playing Tanbour. Then I was learning
water-color painting in a private institute and also Mr.
Enayatolah Nazari nouri (sometimes) and In the meantime I
started to learn calligraphy with Mr. Esmaeel Nikbakht at the
Iranian Calligraphers Committee. Later on through my friend I
got to know one of the musical groups of choir at Arasbaran
Academy and I learned Solfege, for 2 years. We had a group
concert for ten nights at that academy. I remember a period of
time that I spent 5 days a week on art works, each day for one art
and that is one of my best period of time that I enjoy remembering

What I mentioned above is to show some of my extreme attachment
to art and that's why I decided to design this website. I have
to say that another art I really like is computer science. I
tried to learn web designing on my own (HTML) and spent enough
time to design this website in a simple way.
What motivated me design this website for Mr. Mohammad Karami
:
As I mentioned before my extreme interest to art since childhood
made me go for it and the first person who I found to impress me
a lot was Mr. Mohammad Karami. Since my childhood any time I was
ready to accompany my dad going to artist's place and staring at
his works.
I believe that the artistic characteristic of Mr. Karami, his
generosity and his artistic works are all factors which
motivated me.
Since my childhood I always called him dear uncle because my
father called him the same way. Gradually, an extreme connection
was created between me and him. Although, believed far from each
other but I always felt him close in my heart. For a couple of
years I intended to appreciate this valuable and dear artist who
has spent his life on art and serving his people. I wanted to
introduce his artistic works to my compatriots.
My ever dream has been to have a shear in taking a good care of
his valuable art works. I loved to have a shear in serving the
art of my territory in this way. Whenever I have a short trip to
the artist's place I took advantage of that occasion to visit
him, on one hand because of spiritual environment and on the
other hand, because of curiosity and tendency to see his new
paintings. Each time I meet this valuable artist I am surprised
because of his strong intention. I had the chance to take some
films from his works or painting but that was never what really
wanted till the Nowrooz (Iranian New Year) of 2005 that I had a
trip to his place. Time was short and I had 2 days to take films and
photos of all his painting for the website you are visiting now.
He has about 1000 paintings but unfortunately I couldn't take
photo of all of them because of short time. I have been tried
to do my best for taking photo and framing them (about 500
frames.) Due to my busy time for my studying and working, I need
more time to finish and complete the website. I hope to finish
as soon as possible.
He has been always so generous to me and he always encourages me
for art. I hope with this website I can make up a small part of
his generosity.
